About Indian Gymnastics League

Indian Gymnastics League (IGL), a ground-breaking initiative by Gymnastics Sports and Events Private Limited, is first of its kind league for gymnastics in India.

IGL competition was conceptualized and hosted in memory of Mr. Ramesh Prabhoo, Ex Mayor / MLA (Mumbai) who had envisioned to create a world class sports facility for the gymnasts and provide them with platform to showcase their skill.

The first edition of IGL was inaugurated as a proof of concept in December 2017 in Mumbai, India. The event was successfully hosted by Gymnastics Sports and Events Private Limited under the aegis of RYP Centre of Excellence.

The league comprises of 4 franchises teams with 8 players in the each team. The first season of IGL has been successfully executed, and IGL 2 is set to take place in December 2018.

The league will eventually be replicated at the international level where it will attract unprecedented participation from top gymnasts from the country and abroad. Besides showcasing the best of international and Indian talent, the league will also help growing the awareness of the game and creating a separate fan-base for itself. This would take gymnastics to the next level of professionalism and identity, earning avenues and much needed fame to the fellow gymnasts.

The league comprises of all the key ingredients which are essential for any event to be successful. IGL offers innovative and engaging format, power-packed entertainment quotient for the audience and a ready platform for the gymnasts to showcase their talent in front of the world.

About Gymnastics Sports and Events Private Limited

Gymnastics Sports and Events Private Limited (GSEPL) has been formed by professional gymnasts and coaches, having decades of experience and represented India at international levels.

The company intends to host gymnastics events in India (national and international-level gymnastics league), promote gymnastics, alleviate young talent, popularize it as a sport and lay a foundation for the development of prospective Olympians in the country.

The company also plans to build and share training patterns with schools at the grassroots level across the country, with an aim to enhance engagements at all levels.
